Local man and van service in Moseley
Man-and-van work in Moseley is a bit different to full removals — you're often moving a room, a flat or a handful of large items rather than a whole 4-bed house. We turn up with a Luton van, blankets and straps and a two-person crew who actually carry, so you're not doing the lifting yourself. We know the parking and access quirks around Moseley Village and Balsall Heath and B13, which is usually where hourly rates get eaten up when the crew doesn't.
Covering Moseley Village, Balsall Heath, Highgate border, Wake Green and Sorrento Road area — and all of Moseley
Moseley is dominated by large Victorian and Edwardian houses converted into flats and HMOs, so end-of-tenancy clearances and flat furniture removals make up the bulk of local jobs. Streets around the Village and Alcester Road have residents' parking and tree cover, so we bring smaller vans where a Luton can't turn.
Your options in Moseley
Birmingham City Council's bulky pickup can be cheaper for one or two items but often has a wait, while LV81 comes same-day, lifts from inside the property and provides a waste transfer note.
Book us this morning and we're often with you the same afternoon. We'll lift from wherever it is — attic, back garden, side alley — sweep up after, and email you the waste transfer note. From £45.
If you'd rather do it yourself, the nearest tip is Tyseley HWRC (Birmingham City Council). Tyseley is your nearest Birmingham HWRC — pre-book and check the van permit rules.

What we take on a man and van job in Moseley
We're a fully licensed Environment Agency waste carrier (registration CBDU486387), so almost everything a normal household or small business in Moseley needs shifting, we can shift. Here's the honest list — what usually goes on the van, and the handful of things we can't legally take.
- •Single-room and flat moves within Moseley and across the West Midlands
- •Delivery collections — IKEA, Facebook Marketplace, auction pick-ups, eBay bulky items
- •Student moves in and out of shared houses (mattresses, desks, boxes, the lot)
- •Small office relocations — desks, chairs, monitors, filing
- •Storage runs to and from your unit, including loading and unloading at both ends
- •Pianos or safes over ~150kg (we'll happily recommend a specialist)
- •Livestock, plants that need climate control, or hazardous chemicals
- •Multi-day international moves — we're a local same-region man-and-van, not a shipping firm
We arrive with a Luton van (roughly 500 cu ft), blankets, straps, a sack barrow and a two-person crew who actually lift. In Moseley the tricky bit is usually parking and access around Moseley Village and Balsall Heath, so we sort loading windows and permits in advance where needed. You'll get a fixed quote up front — no clock-watching, no "loading time" surprises.
Pricing in Moseley always starts at £45 and is quoted as a fixed figure before we lift anything — no hourly clock, no doorstep re-negotiation. Payment is card, bank transfer or cash on completion, and you get a VAT-style receipt plus the Environment Agency waste transfer note by email the same evening.
