Sofa & Furniture Collection in Birmingham

Same-day or next-day sofa removal from £12.50 an item. We carry it out of the room, so you don't have to.

Sofa collection Birmingham — quick answer

LV81 Removals collects sofas and furniture anywhere in Birmingham from £12.50 per item, usually the same day if you book before midday or the next day otherwise. A two-person crew lifts it from any room or floor, takes it to licensed facilities and emails a waste transfer note. Licensed waste carrier CBDU486387, fully insured, rated 4.8/5 from 377 Google reviews. Call 07934 301825 or WhatsApp a photo for a fixed price.

    What we collect

    • 2-seater and 3-seater sofas
    • Corner sofas and modular units (dismantled on site)
    • Sofa beds, futons and recliners — manual and electric
    • Armchairs, footstools and pouffes
    • Mattresses, divan bases and bed frames
    • Wardrobes, chests of drawers and sideboards
    • Dining tables, chairs and office desks
    • Fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers (WEEE)

    Pricing, honestly

Single items start from £12.50. That covers a standard armchair, a two-seater or a mattress lifted from a ground-floor room. A large three-seater, corner sofa, sofa bed or electric recliner costs more because it's heavier, often needs dismantling, and takes up more of the van. Several pieces together usually work out cheaper as a small load from £25 than paying item by item.

Send a photo on WhatsApp, or tell us on the phone what it is, which floor it's on and whether there's a lift, and we'll give you a fixed price. That price is what you pay unless the job turns out materially different from what was described. No hourly clock and no doorstep re-quote.

Stairs, tight doorways and awkward access

Every job gets two people. You don't need to drag anything outside. We bring blankets and straps, take legs and arms off where they unscrew, and split corner units into sections so they come out the same way they went in. Upstairs flats without a lift are fine; just mention the floor when you book so we can quote properly.

If parking is tight, as it is on a lot of terraced streets in Moseley, Kings Heath and Selly Oak, tell us where the van can stop. We'll plan around it.

Where your sofa goes: reuse, fire labels and WEEE

Charities and reuse schemes can only take upholstered furniture that's clean, undamaged and still has its fire safety label sewn in, under the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations. Where a sofa qualifies, we'll try to get it reused. Read our guide to sofa fire labels if you're not sure.

Everything else goes to a licensed transfer station for sorting and recovery. Fridges, freezers, washing machines and other electricals are WEEE and go to a licensed treatment route. You get a waste transfer note by email for every job, showing our Environment Agency licence CBDU486387.

    FAQ

Sofa collection in Birmingham — your questions

Single items start from £12.50. A standard two- or three-seater is usually priced as one item; corner sofas, sofa beds and recliners cost a bit more because they're heavier or need taking apart. Several pieces together are often cheaper as a small van load from £25. You get a fixed price from a photo or a phone call before we arrive, and it doesn't change on the doorstep unless the job is materially different from what was described.

Often, yes. Book before midday and we can usually collect the same afternoon; later bookings are normally next day. It depends on how busy the vans are and where you are in Birmingham, so call or WhatsApp and we'll give you an honest slot.

No. A two-person crew lifts it from wherever it is — lounge, upstairs flat, loft room or garage. If it won't fit through the door we'll take the feet or arms off, or dismantle a corner unit. Just let us know about stairs, lifts or tight parking when you book.

Only if it's clean, undamaged and still has its fire safety label attached — UK charities and reuse schemes can't accept upholstered furniture without one. Where a sofa qualifies we'll try to route it to reuse; otherwise it goes to a licensed transfer station for sorting and recovery.

Yes. White goods are electrical waste (WEEE) and go to a licensed WEEE treatment route, with fridges and freezers handled separately because of their refrigerant gases.

Yes. We're an Environment Agency registered waste carrier (CBDU486387) and email a waste transfer note for every collection, so you can show your waste was handled legally.
